Overview

When the Uniting Church of South Australia needed a Content Management System to integrate their numerous sites (Uniting Care, Uniting College, Resources & UCInvest among some of them) they turned to Alltraders for a solution. UCSA’s proprietary CMS did not cope well with the requirement of each department being responsible for their own content, yet still maintain a consistent look and feel between each site. Further to this technical downside, there was a considerable cost to adding multiple sites. The solution: Joomla!, an open source Content Management System and some technical wizardry by the team at Alltraders to integrate all the sites. Now, each department maintains their own content without stepping on each other’s toes and functions like Search can work seamlessly across all sites. To top it off, the open source CMS is free of license costs!
