Overview

Prompt Certification is an engineering company specialising in providing online engineering certification services to Australasian clients. The system allows designs to be uploaded through a web interface where engineers can quickly analyse the job and certify them. Upon certification, the documents are stamped (with the company's logo or a certification insignia into the title block) and digitally signed with the certifier’s digital signature.

To achieve this, we developed a comprehensive web based collaboration system utilising specialist online technologies, digital signing and even developed browser extensions to improve the user interface. The technology that we used and implemented to achieve the client’s goals was challenging and state of the art. We were required to write some very complex AJAX and PHP code to achieve what to all intents and purposes is a custom configurable operating system environment within the site. The site has a multi path process control module that allows clients to track their engineering jobs through all stages towards and including certification. Using state of the art digital signatures, online certification typically takes between one hour and one week.
